brushing the dust off + an announcement!

Hello, yes, I am still here, I still make fakemon. (Good god, was the last submission really in November? :/) Between graduating from school, looking for/starting a new job and working on the "Big Project" I've been awfully busy, although what else is new. I have in fact completed several fakemon, as well as a few revamps, in this time, but for one reason or another they just haven't ended up on dA yet. You can go poke through the Phoenixdex or my Tumblr if you want to see what you've missed due to my inconsistency, though.

I am going to get back into the swing of posting art here—hopefully very soon, I have some additional revamps open and halfway shaded in Photoshop as I type this—but in the meantime I wanted to make a quick, if belated, announcement. Specifically, the aforementioned "Big Project" is just about ready to open, and it'll be launched tomorrow, Sunday, June 16th!

Pokémon Turquoise is an RP forum that has been around for several years in a few different incarnations, but it fell stagnant after running into some trouble with continuing its fakemon/region projects. On June 16th Turquoise will reopen after a long wait, and we'd love to see you guys there when it all goes down! You'll be able to explore the New Logora region (aka the one with the red-template fakemon in my gallery, e.g. acafia, drasarkr and caslot), catch and raise the pokémon found in said gallery and more—we're going to be adding to it all the time. The RP is intended to be casual enough for newer players who just want to have fun with some new pokémon while still providing opportunities for more experienced roleplayers to stretch their storytelling muscles, and it offers both mod-driven RPing as well as roleplaying back and forth with other players, so no matter what your roleplaying style you should be in for a treat!

Due to the staff pretty much consisting of the three admins at the moment, the RPG will have something of a limited opening tomorrow to keep our workload reasonable. Moderator apps will be ongoing all week, however, so if you'd like to help us get the game running and guide people on their adventures through New Logora then give the application a shot! And while you're waiting for the mod results and the full RPG opening, we're going to have some other fun stuff going on as well—promos, an icon contest and more!

Once Turquoise is really back on its feet we'll be resuming work on our next major project: Turquoise's own original region, Serekayo, and all of the gyms, fakemon and adventures that will go along with it! All we need to be able to get Serekayo back on its feet after its unfortunate development hiatus is a group of players who want to help breathe life into its pokémon (and possibly submit ideas/designs for several!) and its challenges. I know dA has some of the awesomest fakemonners out there and we'd love to see some of that talent contributing to Serekayo—I'll definitely be making another announcement when we're ready to open up development again!
