Josuche's Phoenixdex Entry

One of my favorite fakemon ideas ever, basically. I wanted to do a peacock fakemon, but they're so bloody common that I needed to think of an original spin to put on it. Then it hit me: Korean fan fighting. Yessss.

So, Josuche, quick and agile Pokémon that have beautiful but bizarre stiff feathers on their arms and legs. These feathers overlap and can be folded together or spread out like a fan, contributing to their unique fighting style. They can use the sharp edges to stab and slash, they can blow their opponents down with gusts of wind or strike with the folded feathers and use them as a club, they can even fold the feathers out of the way entirely and just use their fists and feet. They live in mountainous forests and often spend their time searching for certain Grass-, Bug- and Poison-type Pokémon like Parasect or Vileplume; they carefully collect the toxic spores and scales of these Pokémon and then stash them between their feathers for later use in battle, when they can spread out the wings and fan these poisonous spores toward their opponents.

...how can you not want a Fighting-type that learns Stun Spore, Sleep Powder and Poisonpowder, in addition to all of the fun Fighting- and Flying-type moves you'd expect like Reversal and Air Slash. How can you not want it.
