Endruin's Phoenixdex Entry

Endruin are among the most durable Pokémon known to science, able to withstand extreme heat, devastating cold and any number of other hostile environments. Their sturdy bodies help them weather powerful attacks from their opponents. In addition to being the subject of much study in their own right, Endruin are sometimes trained by researchers to accompany them on field research in dangerous locations.

I originally entered Endruin (then a final-stage starter) in a contest back in 2008. It didn't do so well, which in retrospect makes a lot of sense because daaaaay-um that thing was ugly as sin. Even this image is kind of old now%u2014I just wasn't ready to officially re-release it in its new role until I got some other stuff out of the way%u2014but if you've seen the original Endruin, you'd know it's a massive leap forward. And if you haven't seen it, consider yourself veeeery lucky.
