Aegilana's Phoenixdex Entry

The wooden armor on an Aegilana's body undergoes a change in composition shortly after evolution, becoming as tough and solid as stone. The newly-petrified armor is very heavy, but these Pokémon are more than powerful enough to withstand the weight and maneuver easily in battle. They are filled with a sense of honor and loyalty that makes them formidable and dependable teammates. They are quick to put themselves between beleaguered friends and their attackers, using their tough arm shields to fend off any attack; they can bring the two shields together in front of them like a tower shield, or block with one at a time and leave the other arm free to strike back with their heavy, stonelike claws.

Aegilana also learn their own signature move, Riposte, which lets them do doubled damage to opponents who are foolish enough to move in close and strike them first. (It's essentially a slightly more specific but more powerful version of a move like Avalanche or Revenge.)
