MY POLICY ON USE OF MY FAKEMON HAS CHANGED. PLEASE SEE THIS LINK FOR MORE INFORMATION. DISREGARD EVERYTHING ELSE BELOW.
I am not as wildly popular as many of the other fakemon artists on dA and elsewhere--with good reason, of course, as they're all pretty much more skilled and creative than I am--but on several occasions people have asked me about using my Pokémon in various projects. It's always been a little awkward replying to these people since I'm never sure what to tell them: on the one hand, I'm flattered that someone else thinks my stuff is good enough to use, but on the other hand I am greedy, immature, possessive and do not like to share. I've done some thinking recently, however, and I think I've finally come up with some "guidelines" or whatever that I'm satisfied with and should be reasonable for the rest of you. If you want to use one of my fakemon (or ask me to draw for your fangame or project or whatever), please read the following before contacting me.
May I use your fakemon in my fangame/region/other similar project?
No, you absolutely may not under any circumstances. My Pokémon are native to my regions and my projects, not yours, and they are not to be lumped in with a Pokédex containing other Pokémon that I did not create to go along with them. Please create your own fakes to fill up your own Pokédex.
The only way my Pokédexes will be appearing in any sort of fangame, TRPG or whatever is pretty much if it's a game/thing specifically about my Pokémon and I have a say in creating all of it and making sure that it stays true to my vision for that region/Pokédex/thing. So unless you're coming to me offering to make a "New Logora fangame" or something based entirely on my stuff, the answer is a polite but emphatic no.
May I use your fakemon in another project, such as an RP character or as a cameo in a fanfic, etc.?
Possibly; ask me first. I'd like to see this "other project" first and make sure that it's something I wouldn't mind having my creations associated with; I also don't want it considered "part of" whatever region this other project takes place in. If you intend to make it clear that it's imported from my region or whatever other plausible excuse you can come up with, we can talk. And it should go without saying that, if I do allow you to use my Pokémon, I expect full credit for my work.
*If you asked me about something like this before and I already told you no, you can contact me and we can talk about it again.
I saw a fakemon that you drew for someone else when they requested it. May I use that?
I don't take requests very often because I rarely finish them, and I almost never post them on dA for various reasons. Nevertheless, there are a few requested fakemon pics floating around out there. The fakemon in those pictures were not created by me and are therefore not mine to share with anyone. If you want to use one of those fakes, contact the person who requested it from me and ask them. If they say that you can use it, you can use it; if not, respect their wishes and move on.
May I draw fanart/make fansprites of your fakemon?
As long as credit is given, fanart is loved and you do not need to ask permission to create it. :3 Especially sprites, since I really, really, super-duper can't do that myself.
Do you take requests?
As of right now, no. Do not ask me to draw anything for you.
What about art trades?
My timeliness record when working on things for other people is rather shaky, so I'm a little hesitant to accept an art trade offer as I don't want to keep you waiting forever for my end of the deal. You can still ask me, though; if I feel like I have the time to fit it in, I'll probably say yes.
I'm making a fangame/region/similar project and I need someone to design Pokémon for it. Will you be my concept artist?
I'm already working for one fangame and one forum RPG and am disgustingly behind in my work for both; if I haven't been kicked from the team by now, I need to get back on the ball as soon as possible after I clear up some other obligations. I do not currently have the time to be an official concept artist for anyone else. You can pitch your idea to me if you like, and if it's absolutely exceptional I may keep you in mind for later, but chances are that I'm going to have to say no.
Some other person posted your fakemon somewhere!
So, reporting theft, eh? I appreciate your concern, but know this before you turn stool pigeon on this horrible horrible thief. If the person you are talking about has the username Kratos Aurion, Phoenixkratos, ReynardZK, Delusions of Originality, Malice Aforethought, Achillobator, Calico Tiger, Hawkdragon, Elfdragon, thewinkingcat, The Scarlet Dragon, Saidon, Kyra or some reasonably close variant thereof, that person probably has my permission to post. Why? Because that person is probably me. No, I am not very consistent when it comes to usernames. That said, if the person does *not* have one of those names, or if they do and you are absolutely certain that it is not me (a few of those are relatively common, after all), then you can go ahead and contact me about it.
...I feel so conceited writing this, but eh. Since I have been asked on more than one occasion now I figure I might as well get it out there.
Thanks in advance for respecting my wishes.

Fakemon commissions?
I’ve been doing some thinking about this for a while, and figure I might as well ask: would anyone be interested if I were to open up Sugi-style fakemon art commissions? (Or possibly canon pokémon/other creatures in the same/similar style?) For anyone who stumbles across this and hasn’t seen my fakes before, here are some recent-ish examples (there’s also my giant fakedex project website with tons more, although much of that art is old old old and in dire need of updating). I’m still thinking about pricing and such, so I’m not opening any slots just yet, but I’d be offering standard Sugi-style art for somewhere between $25-40 depending on complexity, plus flat colors only or lineart only (maybe even sketch only) for less. Payment would likely be through PayPal, though I could try looking at other options if there are enough otherwise interested parties who can’t/won’t use that. Obviously now is a tough time for a lot of people, and it’s completely understandable that fakemon
oh, dear...
My, but it's been a while, hasn't it?
I don't think I'm quite ready for a full return to activity here just yet; I've got other things on my plate, and I'd like to do some reorganizing of my gallery, figure out what to do with fakemon that I've since redesigned, etc.. But I have been meaning to check back in, and some Nonsense happening over in Tumblr-land means that a few folks who followed me over there might be in the market for other places to keep up with my sporadic content, so now-ish is probably as good a time as any to start evaluating how to shape this ship up.
(In the meantime, if you want to see my more recent fakes, other artwo
Pokemon Turquoise now live!
Pokémon Turquoise has opened its doors at long, long last! We're a new (ish) RP fresh off a grand reopening, and now that things are getting started we're hoping at least some of y'all are looking for a fun new place to explore! We've got fakemon, we've got a wiki that contains all of their pokédex information and helpful guides, we've got mod apps underway if you're interested in helping out, and more fun stuff is on the horizon (like a mafia gam
brushing the dust off + an announcement!
Hello, yes, I am still here, I still make fakemon. (Good god, was the last submission really in November? :/) Between graduating from school, looking for/starting a new job and working on the "Big Project" I've been awfully busy, although what else is new. I have in fact completed several fakemon, as well as a few revamps, in this time, but for one reason or another they just haven't ended up on dA yet. You can go poke through the Phoenixdex or my Tumblr if you want to see what you've missed due to my inconsistency, though.
I am going to get back into the swing of posting art here—hopefully very soon, I have some additional revamps open and
